Lending club firearms via QR scan
Besides a booking, you can also lend out a club firearm directly, for example at the bar or during a training. You scan the QR label on the firearm and record the loan or the return in a few taps. Both administrators and range officers can do this.
Printing a QR label
- Go to Range & lanes → Club weapons and open a firearm.
- Click QR label and then Print.
- Stick the label on the firearm or its case.
Lending out a firearm
- Scan the label with your phone’s camera. If your device has no QR scanner, go to Scan weapon in the menu and point the camera at the label.
- You see a quick Loan out form. Choose the Borrower (name): start typing to pick an active member, or enter a name.
- Loaned out on is already set to today. Optionally add a Reason/note.
- Click Loan out.
If the firearm has a booking today, you first get a warning with the times of those bookings.
In the club firearms list, the firearm gets the On loan badge.
Taking a firearm back
Scan the same label again. You see who the firearm is on loan to and since when. Check Returned on and click Return.
Checks
AmmoSuite prevents:
- lending out a firearm that is out of service;
- lending out a firearm that is already on loan;
- a loan or return date in the future;
- a return date before the loan date.
Full details on the scan page takes you to the firearm’s regular detail page, with the full history. See also Managing club firearms.
