Beta features and what's new
New features sometimes appear in AmmoSuite Club as a beta first: they already work, but are still being tested. In the app they get the label Beta in the menu, and their pages show a banner with a link to give feedback.
Two kinds of betas
- Open beta: you turn it on yourself, once your club takes part in betas.
- Closed beta: only AmmoSuite can activate it for your club, on request. One example is importing bank statements (CODA).
Taking part in betas
- Go to General settings → Beta features. Only administrators see this page.
- Turn on My club takes part in betas.
- Then turn on the switch for each open beta. If a beta first needs another module, you see this under Requires first.
Under Betas enabled by AmmoSuite you can see, for information, which closed betas are on for your club.
If you stop taking part, the open betas you turned on yourself are switched off again. Closed betas activated by AmmoSuite stay on. Turning betas on and off is recorded in the activity log.
If there are no open betas, the page says so. New betas are announced under What’s new.
What’s new
Through What’s new in the menu you can read the release notes of each version of AmmoSuite Club, grouped into New, Improved and Fixed. You only see the changes that apply to your club’s modules. When there is a new version, administrators see the label New next to the menu item until they have viewed the release notes.
The version number you are using is shown at the top of that page and in the app’s footer.
