Managing ammunition types
Before you can book ammunition in or out, an ammunition type must exist. Each type has:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Brand | Brand of the ammunition |
| Calibre | e.g. “9x19” or “.223” |
| Type | Type/model of the cartridge |
| Box size | Number of cartridges per package |
| Powder per cartridge (g) | Weight of the powder charge in grams, used for the gunpowder limit calculation |
Adjusting the powder weight per cartridge
Go to Gunpowder overview (the ammunition register dashboard) and click Edit next to a type. In the Update type dialog, adjust Calibre, Box size and Powder per cartridge (g) (Brand and Type are fixed here). Click Save.
This weight partly determines how heavily this ammunition counts towards your gunpowder limit. Fill it in correctly, even for manually created types — if left empty, the overview shows a dash (”—”) instead of a calculated weight.
