Suppliers and address per booking (beta)
Beta, on request. Ask us to release this feature for your environment. An administrator then turns it on via Settings → Beta features → Suppliers and address per booking → Use. Without this beta, the registers keep working as before.
For every purchase and sale, the firearms act requires the name and the address of the supplier and of the buyer. With this feature you keep your suppliers in a list, and every booking shows the address.
Your suppliers
Go to Management → Suppliers and click Add supplier. For each supplier you fill in:
- Name: each name occurs only once;
- Address: street and number, postcode and municipality;
- Approval number: optional, e.g. the approval number of a firearms dealer.
Click a supplier to see all firearms, ammunition and parts you received from that supplier.
You can only delete a supplier as long as no bookings are linked to it.
The address on a booking
In every register there is an address line under the name of the supplier or the customer.
- Choose a name from the suggestions and AmmoSuite fills in the address.
- If you leave the address empty, AmmoSuite takes the address from the supplier or customer record.
- If you type an address for a supplier or customer that doesn’t have an address yet, the record is completed.
- A new booking without an address gives a warning. You can still save it, for example if you add the address later.
The address on a booking is a fixed copy. If a supplier moves and you update the record, the new address applies to new bookings. Older bookings keep the address from that time, as a register should.
Where you find the address
The address of the supplier and the customer also appears in the CSV export and the PDF reports and in the annual copy. For an import, the template has extra columns for the address; if you leave them empty, the address from the record is used.
