Deregistering a firearm
Find the firearm using the search field above the table (type brand, model, serial number or customer), or use Serial number search if you’re not sure which register it’s in. On the existing row, fill in the deregistration details:
- Date out — the date the firearm leaves the register
- Customer — who the firearm is issued to
- Nature — nature of the issue (e.g. sale)
Click Save on that row, or collect several changes and confirm them at once with Save all. From that moment the firearm counts as “Deregistered” in the status cards at the top of the table, and in your PDF reports (Issues, Movement statement).
Every change to a row, including deregistration, is logged immutably in the audit trail. Filling in Date out and Customer in an empty cell doesn’t require a reason. If you overwrite or clear a value that was already saved, AmmoSuite does ask for one.
Deregistering several firearms at once, for example after selling a batch? You can do that with a file via Deregistering firearms with a file (beta, on request).
